Exploring woodlands

As the built environment keeps expanding (of necessity, as people need more homes) the desire for tree photography wall art seems to grow too. Nature is inherently soothing, so I guess this is no surprise.

I took this shot - as I'm getting more interested in woodland photography - near my house, after a really fierce storm. Parts of the tree lay quietly on the forest floor, slowly breaking down to give nourishment and life to the other flowers and plants all around.
