Dog Rose No.3

Photographic study of wild flowers

Creating painterly images of flowers is an infinite joy for me.  Photographs of wild flowers always have something subtle to say and these images of such gorgeous dying red dog roses were heavy with meaning.  I hope I captured it for you.

My greatest fear is to be sentimental or mawkish when photographing flowers - especially blooms that are fading - like us humans, they deserve to be chronicled with dignity!
