Derelict house interiors

I took this photograph in the same house as Damp Divine - an abandoned home, bereft of everything except colour and texture. There really are such rich pickings on the walls of derelict house interiors, aren't there. As usual, I couldn't really see what the wall actually looked like, as it was so dark, but I put my mini-torch between my teeth and went ahead and took the shot.

I'm so glad it looks beautiful because for some reason I kept imagining the family that had once lived here choosing the wallpaper and loving it. So I rather wanted it to live on, hanging on someone else's wall.
