Rome

Black and white photography - why and when?

Sometimes I think colour can be a distraction from the backbone of the story: when lines or shadows are the main elements or when an emotion is so powerful that there is no room for colours. All the portraits in my book, Four Feet Under about the homeless in London were in B&W.

In Rome? I can barely breathe for the beauty of this, my absolute favourite city in the whole world, and for these prints, colour wasn't needed to share the magic of the place with you.
